Why Get Screened?

Colon cancer often has no warning signs. Screening can help find issues early, when they’re easier to treat. During the procedure, doctors can find polyps and often remove ones that could become cancer.

What Our Patients Say

“I had a great experience here. The nurses and doctors are amazing.”

Michael M.

“Everyone was helpful and patient-focused. Highly recommend. They took me last minute for a colonoscopy after another (unaffiliated) colonoscopy center canceled my procedure after I had already done all of my prep. I am grateful for the fact that they pick up the phone, and all of their doctors, nurses and support personnel are keenly focused on their patients’ experience and quality of care.”

Colonoscopy FAQs

A colonoscopy is a procedure that is usually done while you’re asleep. A doctor uses a small camera to check your colon for signs of cancer or polyps. In many cases, they can remove the polyps during the colonoscopy.

Most people are sedated for the procedure and feel nothing. A very small group of people have mild cramping for up to a day after the procedure.

It’s easier than it used to be. You drink less prep solution and you can mix it with your favorite clear drink. We’ll guide you through the process.

You’ll need the day of the procedure off. You need someone to drive you home after the procedure, and you may feel groggy that day. But most people are back to normal the next day.

Many insurance plans cover screening colonoscopies for people age 45 and older. If your colonoscopy is to diagnose a problem you are having or something is found and needs treatment, the test may be considered diagnostic and costs can change. We’ll help you check your coverage ahead of time and talk through payment options if needed.
